SPECIAL NOTE: Mr. Robert Koopmans of the Kamloops Daily News, has reported (April 4, 2009) that some of our Interior Lakes have suffered winter kill or are suspect of having been severely impacted by our recent long and cold winter. Lakes that are suspected of total winter kill are; Beaton, Isobel and John Frank. Lakes that may have severe (or worse) winter die off are; Bleeker, Frisken, Deep, Pass, and Tulip (a special wheel chair access lake). This is very unfortunate and all the more reason why we must all pull together and take "stewardship" in looking after all our precious lakes and all that stuff.
